“life coach” for kids?

As adults, we know life can be hard. Especially as we grow up and find the struggle of navigating life’s challenges, big decisions and stressful moments. We feel the pressure of trying to “figure it all out” and somehow try to find peace and balance in between. As things become heavy or when we reach a crossroad, we yearn for support, direction and guidance in any way we can.  Life Coaches have become significantly more popular over the past few years, as our world collectively begins to realize the importance of total well-being. In working with a life coach, adults are guided to find purpose and meaning within their lives, as they learn the importance of inner peace and fulfillment. Adults begin to prioritize self-care and self-love, as they quickly see the benefits of how taking care of one’s self allows them to show up in their lives as better people, parents, employees, etc. As they continue this journey, their lives begin to shift in remarkable ways, and they continue to pursue and nurture their most meaningful lives.

In knowing how instrumental life coaches are for adults, why don’t we see the value of them for our children? Meanwhile, life coaches are exactly what our children need. Imagine, at such a young and vulnerable age, diving deep into well-being and what it means to find inner peace. Imagine growing up and navigating your youth and adolescence already knowing the power of mindset and the importance of self-care.  Imagine being told and fully comprehending that you can be and do whatever it is that you choose, and that you have everything it absolutely takes, right there within you, to get there. Imagine how that child would grow up. Imagine the choices that they would make. Imagine life through their eyes. Imagine their potential.

There are many layers to Child Centered Coaching, but at its very core lies the foundation for total well-being: how the child sees and values themselves, their world, and their experiences. Once children understand who they are and the power that exists within themselves, their potential is limitless. Once a strong self of self and growth mindset is established, children are ready to take on the world and face any challenge that comes their way. Child Centered Coaching takes a holistic approach to guiding the child in all areas of life: personally, socially, emotionally, and academically. What are the child’s goals? Dreams? Obstacles? Fears? Child Centered Coaching helps children manage and balance their hectic lives and guides them to take control of their futures. What makes Child Centered Coaching different from any other counseling? We put the child at the center of it all: we begin at their center - finding healing, balance, and peace within - and, together, work outwards towards their brightest future.
