Kathleen Jane Crowley, M.S.Ed. School Counseling, is a certified New York State School Counselor K-12, with a strong background in mental health and holistic living. Over eight years working with students in New York public schools, she has mastered a unique and successful approach to working with children and guiding them to a better understanding and version of themselves. She counsels and supports children socially, emotionally, and academically; their mental health and well-being always at the forefront of her work. Kathleen’s philosophy is that once a strong sense of self and well-being is established, a child’s potential is limitless.
Kathleen walks children through their journey of total well-being, guiding them to live happier, healthier, and more fulfilling lives. Through Positive Behavioral Coaching, children begin to understand and see the beauty within themselves, leaving them feeling understood, valued, inspired, and happier. Her experience as a school counselor engaged in every platform (individual counseling, group counseling, classroom guidance, and program development) gives Kathleen a unique perspective for fostering motivation, confidence, and success. She has also mastered the NYS Public Schools’ Multi-Tiered System of Supports Model, working closely with teachers, administrators, coaches, and parents to identify children’s goals and needs; develop plans for success; and provide the tools and support necessary to reach the child’s fullest potential.
background
Kathleen graduated Long Island University top of her class in 2011, and continued her graduate work at Fordham University and LIU Post (M.S.Ed. School Counseling, with a focus on Mental Health and Special Education.) During her graduate research at Fordham, she studied at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, learning the power of nutrition and the impact wellness has on one’s mental state. The nexus of mental health, nutrition, and physical wellness has influenced Kathleen’s approach to achieving a state of total well-being for her clients.
Kathleen’s life work is dedicated to guiding children to live happier, healthier, and more fulfilling lives. Kathleen ran the TCS New York City Marathon in 2019 with Team For Kids, an organization that helps children across the nation live healthier lives, and currently serves as a mentor.
